I wouldn’t say that it is malpractice it is just an unfortunate thing that happened and is all apart of the risks of an angiogram.

Correct, that is a known complication of the procedure. The cardiologist didn’t do anything wrong, and he has no grounds for suit.

it happens all the time, one of the known risks to angiograms, and if your friend signed the consent and actually read it, he would have known that was a possibility and he has no legal ground for suit.

This is always a risk.
When You see the specialist, He/She will warn of possible risk , and the percentage of occurance.He was Probably lucky that He was alive to be able to have an Angiogram.
As I said, there is always a risk with any surgery, So The realism is always present as a percentage of risk of further heart attack, stroke, or some kind of infection, following surgery,.
I have had 4 Angiograms and1 inter venous ultra sound as an angiogram, and I am thanking God that I have never had any problems.
I had the wound site start to bleed once, but that was attended to very quickly It was a little embarrassing as some of My blood splashed onto one of the nurses, Who was pregnant at the time.
Well there was all manner of tests and rigmarole, but eventually, the tests came back showing that My blood is clear of any contaminants, and the nurse was able to breathe a little easier.
You can never tell with blood these days.With the rise in aids etc.
