Any Heart Healthy Tips For Skinny People?
Written by admin on November 21, 2009I am 5′0 and i weigh 85 lbs and yes i am natuarlly skinny. I have had 2 heart transplants (one was cuz of a birth defect and the 2nd was cuz of scar build up over the years). Being skinny makes me not want to exercise so i am not up to par with exercising. I want to eat healthier and exercise more. my docs said it was ok as long as i dont fall out :p Does anyone have ne steps that help that will make me ease into eating and exercising? I have a treadmill, weight set it has like 3 or 4 functions, and an eliptical. So any tips would rock! ps my mom cooks…. lol

Vegetables and fruits are high in vitamins, minerals and fiber. Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables may help you control your blood pressure.
Unrefined whole-grain foods contain fiber that can help lower your blood cholesterol and help you feel full.
Eat fish at least twice a week. Recent research shows that eating oily fish containing omega-3 fatty acids (for example, salmon, trout, and herring) may help lower your risk of death from coronary artery disease.
Also, don’t smoke tobacco — and stay away from tobacco smoke.

Two heart transplants means you have access to the best medical resources available. Ask your Doctors what is best for your body. That said, I would just keep up the basics like good healthy diet, and a reasonable exercise routine. I hear Omega 3, CoQ10, and Vit E and Vit C are good choices for a healthy heart.
